2. CHRISTMAS TREES

Everlasting Christmas Trees

The Christmas Heirloom Company trees are quality items that will last for many years at an affordable price. Our stores only carry “top of the range” trees, they are purchased according to the weight and the quantity of tips.

Easy storage after Christmas, the trees come in a solid cardboard box. If the tree is put up and packed away correctly, stored away in a safe place, it will last 10+ years.

Buying a new tree? Think about the size of the room and space where the tree will be positioned, what type and quantity of decorations that will be used to dress the tree.

We carry a range of different sized Christmas Trees, from 4 foot to 12 foot. The most popular size for a home is between 6 and 8 foot. There are also many styles available:
Sugen - with a mixture of tips including a bottle brush like tip which adds to the fullness and realism of the tree.
Silver Fir - a beautiful real looking tree with slightly frosted tips.
Oregon - a dense and realistic artificial tree, great for those who heavily decorate their tree.
Western Augusta - is a dense, high quality hinged tree with a mixed style of tips.
Visit a store to see our beautiful everlasting Christmas trees (styles may vary between stores).
Setting up the Christmas Tree

Put in the bottom section, open each layer one by one, placing your hand under each layer as you open it as a support. “Fluff” each layer thoroughly making sure that the ones closest to the pole are flicked upwards so as to hide the mechanics. Once the bottom section is finished, fit the top portion into place and repeat the “fluffing” process. The tip of the tree is very long but can be folded if required.

To dismantle the tree - do everything in reverse, folding each branch as flat as possible.

Need to create more space? A hinged tree can be used in a corner or pushed flush against a wall.

Do you have a small tree? Try putting it on a table or stand - it will create a better affect.
3. LIGHTING YOUR TREE

Tips for lighting your tree

• Always test your lights before putting them on the tree.

• The lights are always the first to be put onto the tree.

• Use plenty of lights. A six-foot tree can easily accommodate 500-600 lights.

• Plenty of lights make a real difference to the finished effect of your tree.

• Need more help? Come to one of our demonstration evenings or ask in-store about lighting your tree.
4. DECORATING

BEADING

Put beading on after the lights.

Starting at the bottom,
beads can go round and around making a scalloped effect which also creates “pockets” in which decorations can be put.
Use larger loops towards the bottom of the tree.

It is easy to join the beads, just loop one bead around the other until they ‘click’ together.

If decorating the tree with assorted, multi coloured decorations and want the
“Christmas Heirloom” look,
beading can do this as the loops contain the colours giving it the “Christmas Heirloom” look.

For single beading on a 6 foot tree
use 3 cylinders.
OTHER

Candles

• Non-drip are the easiest to use, they burn from the inside which avoids lines of melted wax on your candle holder or cloth.

• Place the candles in the fridge the night before use (never the freezer) this way they burn for much longer.
